Dear friends of FlyZone,
*Winners of the Wakeboard Competition April 17*
Congratulations Arturo Quesada and Marco Aguirre, winners of the ‘novice’ and ‘advanced’ divisions at the wakeboard competition last weekend. They both won a free wakeboarding lesson with FlyZone.
Our main goal with this event was letting wakeboarders meet other wakeboarders, and let them get used to the competition format as well as to riding a competition sized wake. All those goals were reached while having a good time. Mission accomplished!
*New FlyZone video!*
A couple months ago we presented the trailer for FlyZone’s promo video. Now the video is done, and it turned out great! Watch it here.
Video produced by Mauricio Liscano of Potential Motion Productions. Thanks a lot mister!
*Driving tips*
Anyone can pull a wakeboarder. It’s not easy though to do it well! The driver can make or break the rider’s session. Some rules of thumb: you want to drive an EXACT straight line, with a steady speed, and you don’t want to make any unnecessary waves (because we all love glassy water). Always keep those 3 rules in mind when pulling someone. You can read more tips in this new article: The Perfect Pull.
For some real-life advice and practice: we now also offer driving lessons. Please inquire for more information.*Wakeboard boats*
While we’re on the subject of driving them: if you’re considering getting a boat for wakeboarding, contact us! Ski Nautiques, Air Nautiques, Super Air Nautiques, Malibu, Mastercraft, etc. What to look for, which has the best wake, where to get one; we’ll gladly help you out with all this and much more.
We’re actually considering getting a new boat ourselves so if you would like to get your hands on our beloved Ski Nautique (own the best wake in Costa Rica!) let us know.
*Special offer*
At this moment we have some great special offers!
- On the high-end spectrum we have a 2009 Hyperlite Murray 135 with Murray bindings (size 8-9). Without a doubt one of the best setups available. Value new $1078, now only $750!!
- We’re getting new equipment for the school, so we’re selling the boards, boots, vests and a skate we’ve been using the past year. Take a look at School Equipment to see what’s available.
*Lars has left the building*
FlyZone’s partner in crime Lars is not with us anymore. No, nothing terrible happened; he just left on his bike to discover Central America and to eventually end up in the States.
Happy travels and thanks for everything Lars! Hasta luegooooooooooooo...........
