*AquaFest 2011 was BIG, thanks Phil and Collin!*
The edition in Puntarenas was a lot of fun, but waves that were bigger than the wakes of the boat made wakeboarding pretty tough. In San José around 20.000 people gathered around Parque Sabana to witness the event! Liquid Force team-riders Collin Harrington and Phillip Soven also did some surfing, and we found some time to ride at our home base at Lake Arenal. See the photos here.

*Backpacker Bucks*
Flyzone has joined a nice initiative called Backpacker Bucks. Their motto is “Save money, save kids”; Backpackers can buy a card that gives them discounts on tons of tours, activities, hostels and more, and proceeds go to local good causes for kids. A great project that’s helping all parties involved. All you backpackers out there; get the card and safe money, save kids!

*Tropical-commercial*
FlyZone, and more importantly wakeboarding in general, made it to national TV, several times a day! The new summer commercial of Tropical has FlyZone’s Sander riding in it. If you haven’t seen it yet watch it here. Don’t blink your eyes or you’ll miss it though! ;)

*Semana Santa Wakeboard Camp*
Nothing is set in stone yet, but we’d like to see if there’s enough interest to organize a 3-day wakeboard camp from Monday April 18 through Wednesday April 20 (Semana Santa). Including lots of wakeboarding, 2 nights at Hotel Puerto San Luis, food & fun! Price will be around $375. Send us an email (the sooner the better!) if you’re interested in participating.
